Gold has been used as a symbol for the sacred and divine throughout the ages across many different cultures and traditions. It creates the effect of both space and of a glowing warmth. Its mysterious visual allure is symbolic of the infinite and unchanging reality lying beyond the sensory veil.

It doesn't oxidise or tarnish which points to ideas of permanence and purity. It reflects yellow light reminiscent of the life-giving light of the sun. Its rarity contributes to its preciousness, like the rarity of true wisdom."
